BRACKEN
Camelotfield Baroness of Aberglen
(Boo of Baron Street x Gatekeeper Red Clover)
Bracken is a daughter of Boo, our chocolate superstar, and is the epitome of what a working cocker is to me. Absolutely bonkers and a complete whirlwind yet beautifully tempered, poised and driven, all wrapped up in a dog I really couldn't live without.

Samantha and I often joke that Bracken trained herself. She and Piegon (Martha's first daughter) grew up together alongside Piegon's litter brother Guinness, who now lives with a family member in North London. It seems somewhat strange to say but I don't remember the early training sessions with Bracken being anything other than a breeze. So biddable, honest, engaged. The running joke is that Bracken spends more time up on my shoulder at home than she does on the ground. Bracken has such a natural way about her and blends her drive and thirst for 'work' with a poise and composure beyond her years.

This should not be surprising however if you look at the bloodlines on both sides, but particularly her Dam's line. Bracken's Mother is the litter sister to F.T.C.H. Gatekeeper Bryn of Nederscot, owned and trained by Will Clulee out of an award winning dam. (Will Clulee won the 2023 Cocker Championship). Their dam is flanked on either side by Ftch Argyll Warrior and Ftch Mallowdale Zander, who of course produced the famous double Cocker Chamionship winning Heolybwlch Fatty.

Father Boo is a grandson of Ftch Orgest Yfrw who was sired by Ftch Argyll Warrior, connecting top and bottom very nicely indeed. Boo is the spitting image of Argyll Warrior aka Skipper and whilst very driven, has the most wonderful temperament. Just like her Father, Bracken is just as happy picking up as she is sat on the peg or walking up a hedgerow. Rock steady, mute and so engaged.

Bracken produced her first litter in November of 2022 when she was mated to Razzarush Tommy at Arcklebear. Tom is out of Ftch Heolybwlch Denman to a Misselchalke bred Dam. A heritage rarely seen anywhere else. She has done a fantastic job as a maiden bitch and the offspring look to be very promising indeed.

Bracken is already back in work and absolutely loving it. She really is a wonderful dog and loved by all who visit us here at Aberglen.
